Happy Sunday, SIC Community!
Well, hopefully it’s happy for you wherever you are. As you saw earlier this week, I talked about the USTFCCCA convention! Some of you may be heading there right now.
What presentations are you excited to attend? Who are you most excited to meet? Are you presenting, and are you ready? Remember what we talked about. Don’t trust the wifi, and practice until you feel confident.
The response to the surprise convention post exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed your comments, texts, and questions. And I appreciate everyone who stopped by.
Because of that post earlier in the week, the regular Sunday post is short and sweet.
Some colleges and teams had their first indoor meets of the season! I’m itching to get my team out on the track, but we have until after break. It’s exciting, nonetheless, to see times popping up. Proud to be part of the NAU squad and watch Nico and Drew start the season strong at Boston University.
Iowa’s Kalen Walker (junior) ran 6.59 in the 60m at their home facility! Currently, he’s number one in the nation1. It’s early in the season, but it’s already fast. Iowa’s Paige Magee (junior) ran 8.07 in the 60m hurdles this weekend and is also sitting at the number one spot in the nation. How long will that performance hold as the nation’s best? Records and PBs were all over the place. Okay, Iowa!👀
That’s all for now. Everyone at the convention, I hope you have a great time and enjoy that crisp Colorado air (and drink some water with that coffee)! 👋
Something new is coming soooon 🤫
